Rumination is thinking about the same thing over and over again. Derived from the way herbivores such as cows digest and absorb, it is used in the same way in both Japanese and English. When you have something you can't digest, put some distance or time on it. At times like that, I feel like I'm wearing pickles. Will it ferment well or will it rot? I check the situation occasionally to see how the seasoned plums are.

In the kitchen of the apartment building that is built into a grave, I ponder such things while stirring the rice bran bed and squeezing Chinese cabbage. Then, the tombstones lined up on the other side of the window also look like pickled stones.

Repeated thinking about the same thing is called rumination.It derives from the method of digestion and absorption of some herbivores such as cattle.This is the same in both Japanese and English. When there is an event that cannot be digested, keep a certain distance from it. Let time pass by. It's like marinate, and like cooking. It is a work created in the image of a weight when making Tsukemono(fermented food) and digestive organ.The stone placed on the grave may also be this weight.
